Who am I and why am I doing this?
My name is Niklas Weber or just Nick. I’m a 37-year-old engineer, software developer, enthusiastic boulderer, Ninja Warrior competitor, and UNAA certified Ninja Coach, and I’m here to help you to get fit like a real Ninja Warrior.
My own journey started in 2017 when I saw Ninja Warrior for the first time. I was hooked immediately and wanted to compete. That moment changed my life and I’m so glad that I had that urge back then. Since then a lot has happened. I met many great people that inspired me and I could learn from, and became stronger and way more agile in that process. In 2019, my dream came finally true. I got my first chance to compete and surprisingly reached the semi-finals of Ninja Warrior Germany.
And this year, I will get another chance to hit the buzzer. Below is my not so serious application video for the current season:
I train four to six times a week, including bouldering, fitness, parkour, and strength in general, as well as HIIT, to improve my Ninja Warrior skills. If you are interested in my workout log, feel free to have a look.
I’m analyzing what and how the best Ninja Warriors, climbers, and functional athletes are training and research relevant publications for improving my physical and mental performance.
And as I’m a big believer in sharing, you will learn everything I know or learned myself without having to do all the work!
All my posts and videos are about efficiency and smart training, so you can get your best shape ever and gain new skills without having to spend more than 45 min per workout.

Climbing has always been a passion of mine. Actually, it started with an age of 2 years, where I climbed from a diaper-changing table across the bookshelf onto a wardrobe. No street lamp and no tree were safe from me during my youth.
Even now as a grown-up I can’t resist when spotting an occasion. And I guess that’s why friends often call me “little monkey”.
